Best DIY Beauty Hacks – Quick and Easy At-Home Treatments

Trying to green up your beauty routine? Here’s some good news for you – DIY beauty products are non-toxic, inexpensive, easy to make and they give great results!

Here are the 5 best DIY beauty hacks you can easily incorporate into your skincare routine:

1. Use Apple Cider Vinegar as a Facial Cleanser

Apple cider vinegar contains malic acid, which exfoliates, purifies and refreshes the skin and speeds up the skin cell renewal process. This can help you treat acne, dark spots and even delay aging signs.

  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • Optionally, you can also add 1 teaspoon of aloe vera gel or honey, to soothe and replenish the skin.

All you have to do is mix all the ingredients well together. Apply the mixture with a cotton ball to your face. Quickly cleanse and exfoliate your face with it, then rinse off well with warm water. Apply a face cream.

You can use apple cider vinegar as a facial cleanser 2 – 3 times a week.

2. Make DIY Yogurt Face Mask

Yogurt face masks soften and smooth the skin, prevent fine lines and even out your skin tone. To make this mask, you will need:

  • 1 tablespoon thick yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon honey

Mix both the ingredients well until you get a smooth paste. Apply to a clean face. Leave it on for 15 – 20 minutes, then wash off and apply a face cream.

3.  Use Aloe Vera as a Spot Treatment

Both aloe vera and tea tree oil are anti-bacterial, healing and anti-inflammatory, which is perfect for an acne prone skin.

  • 2 tablespoons aloe vera gel
  • 3 – 4 drops tea tree oil

In a small ceramic or glass bowl, mix well aloe vera gel and tea tree oil. When smooth, apply it as an acne spot treatment to all affected areas. Leave it overnight and wash it off in the morning. Apply a lightweight face moisturizer.

4.   Make A Ground Coffee Body Scrub

Exfoliation is a very important part of a skincare routine. It removes all the dead, dry skin cells and encourages the skin to renew itself. To make an all-natural body scrub, you will need:

  • 1 cup coffee grounds
  • ½ cup coconut oil or any other natural oil

Melt the coconut oil and mix both ingredients well together. You should get a texture similar to wet sand.

Use this scrub during the shower. Apply to a wet skin and exfoliate it for 5 – 10 minutes. Then wash the scrub off and apply your body lotion.

5.   Easy DIY Foot Moisturizer

Here’s one of the simplest natural ways to nourish your feet and make them soft, smooth and beautiful:

  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • 1 tablespoon Vaseline
  • a few drops peppermint essential oil

Melt the coconut oil on a low heat. Add the Vaseline, mix and remove from the heat. In the end, add the peppermint essential oil, mix well and let it cool down. Store the foot moisturizer in a clean glass container and use every night before going to bed.
